Dr. Atharva Desai is a General Dentist at Deer Valley Dental Care in Calgary
Dr. Atharva Desai received his dental surgery degree from Dharmsinh Desai University, India, in 2010. After practicing dentistry for about two years in India, Dr. Desai moved to Canada in 2012. He studied dental hygiene at Confederation College in Thunder Bay, ON, where he graduated with distinction and received the academic award of excellence. While practicing dental hygiene, Dr. Desai prepared and successfully attained Canadian dental equivalency in 2017 and started practicing dentistry in the Toronto area.
Having relatives and friends here and being outdoorsy at heart, Dr. Desai moved to Calgary in 2018. He joined the Deer Valley team in 2022 to expand his scope of practice. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but has a keen interest in endodontics (root canal therapy) and implant dentistry. He is a current member of the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Desai likes to travel and explore naturally beautiful destinations. Also, in his words, besides being a dentist, he is an avid reader and a technology buff. He likes to keep up with current affairs and follows the sports world of F1 racing, football and hockey.
