Deer Valley Dental Care is proud to introduce you to Dr. Ali-Reza Givehchian, more commonly known as Dr. Ali. Dr. Ali has a very caring and gentle personality, and loves providing his patients with the knowledge needed to make the best decisions for their oral health.

Dr. Ali is originally from Tehran, Iran, and is fluent in English and Persian. He chose the field of dentistry because it presents an artistic aspect with a demand for perfection. It also presents an interesting biological science that is different for each patient. Ali earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1991, and later moved to Calgary in 2003 after receiving an associate offer. Dr. Ali also earned a postgraduate certificate in periodontics (gum tissues, grafts and implants) and advanced laser dentistry (periolase), from the University of Kentucky in 2007.

In his free time, Dr. Givehchian likes to spend his time with his wife, Maryam, and three children doing seasonal activities such as hiking and skiing. He also likes to spend time online studying and watching the stock market.  Dr. Ali loves Calgary because it is a great place to work, it is an active city, and it is a safe place to raise a family.
