Job Title: Dental Assistant (RDA II)

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Reports to: Craig Hayes, Office Manager

The Dental Assistant will be teamed up with one of our Doctors to provide chair-side assistance to our patients. Assistants are responsible for preparing patients and ensuring that they are comfortable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental exams while making them feel comfortable.
• Sterilization of equipment.
• Prepare operatory, required instruments, and additional materials.
• Complete takedown and cleanup of operatory after every patient.
• Take digital X-Rays of patients using digital imaging.
• Communicate patient treatment information with Treatment Coordinator.
• Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant.
• Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.
• Fabricate temporary crowns and restorations.
• Explain and educate patients on services and treatments.
• Application of topical anesthetics.
• Application of desensitizing agents.
• Performing bleaching treatments (Training Provided).
